The inside story of your BSLBATT battery, on your phone

Your BSLBATT battery already talks to your inverter. BSLBATT Monitor lets it talk to you too: locally, in detail, without another vendor app.

€49 with cables. Dispatched from France; free cancellation until dispatch, 14-day returns.

BSLBATT Monitor Wi-Fi box with screen showing battery charge, voltage and current

BSLBATT batteries are often installed with Victron, SMA, Deye or Sol-Ark inverters and run quietly for years. The inverter shows you a state of charge, maybe a temperature. The BMS inside the battery knows much more: every cell, its own health estimate, the warnings it raised last night.

BSLBATT Monitor reads that BMS through the battery’s communication port and shows it on a screen next to the battery, on a password-protected dashboard on your home Wi-Fi, and in Home Assistant through MQTT. It reads only, and it sits beside your existing battery–inverter link without replacing it.

Cell-level detail

Each cell voltage, with highest, lowest and spread, refreshed every few seconds.

Health over time

State of health and cycle count, to see how the battery ages season after season.

Temperature watch

Cell and BMS temperatures, with an alert when they get out of range.

Alarms explained

Protection events in plain language, with the time they happened.

Home Assistant ready

MQTT auto-discovery and a local JSON API. No integration to hunt for.

No extra cloud

Runs locally. Remote access is optional and off by default.

One day, three curves

Charge, discharge and state of charge on the same chart: you see when the battery filled, how long it held, and how deep the evening went. Week after week the chart tells you whether your battery is sized right for your home.

The optional remote dashboard adds up to three years of history and CSV export.

RJ45 communication socket and USB-C power input of BSLBATT Monitor

Fits next to any inverter

A 70 × 70 × 36 mm box with a colour screen, an RJ45 socket for the battery and a USB-C socket for power. It hangs on the wall or sits on the battery.

The design comes from Pylon-Monitor, the Pylontech monitor we already make, with our RS485 / CAN board and firmware adapted to the BSLBATT BMS.

Questions people ask first

Which BSLBATT batteries can it read?

We target BSLBATT 48 V rack and wall-mounted LiFePO4 batteries with RJ45 RS485 communication. Tell us your model when you order; we validate it before shipping.

I use a Victron system. Is that a problem?

No. Your Victron (or SMA, Deye…) inverter keeps its CAN link to the battery. The box reads from a separate port.

Does it need the internet?

No, everything runs locally. The internet is only for the optional remote dashboard.
